37 years ago today was his born day and, to the HUGE loss of the hip-hop community, the anniversary of his death is on 2/10/06. In the short time he was with us, he left an indelible sonic imprint on the hip-hip, R&B and general music landscape. Here’s a playlist with some of my favorite Dilla joints.
