Raheem DeVaughn – A Place Called Loveland (Extended Album Preview)

From the first time I heard Raheem DeVaughn back in 2002 on DJ Jazzy Jeff’s The Magnificent album, I knew he was a special vocalist. Not only did he have a voice that simultaneously projected strength and vulnerability, he also sang songs of substance. Over the years, he has established a pattern of making albums that dealt partly with matters of the heart and partly with matters of the mind. Now, DeVaughn is readying a new album, A Place Called Loveland, that, as the title suggests, is all about the universal language. The album will be released on September 3rd. He’s assembled a 25-minute preview for A Place Called Loveland that consists of music from the album, some previously unreleased material and commentary from Raheem describing the concept behind the album and the respective tracks. Check out the extended sampler of A Place Called Loveland below. Related: Raheem DeVaughn – Trigga Man (Travyon Martin Tribute) ft Styles P (Audio)
