The Freddie Gibbs & Madlib recording-road gets a bit twistier, as the pair announces the Deeper EP. Pinata (f/k/a Cocaine Pinata) is still coming, but in true [Mad] Beat Konducta style, expect more EPs, more singles, and more vinyl for those of us that are still droppin’ plates like bad busboys.

This title track is a true gem. Freddie Gibbs is so focused when with Madlib, and my own opinion is that these recent songs are the most sticking, long-lasting tracks we’ve heard from Gangsta Gibbs since his much-needed, hugely-deserved 2009 breakthrough. Another Everyman track that calls out to infidelity in that Nas “One Love” style.

This is September music to me. Wow.
