Oddisee has been a joy to watch and listen to for over a decade. Since the Halftooth Records days, this DMV native has been versatile in making his own albums as a vocal artist, instrumental projects, and a ton of hitters for other artists along the way. His upcoming The Beauty In All (great title) has a cool feel so far. It’s an instrumental album that hopefully propels O to the ranks of some of those fusion cats that have come after him. We dearly want to see Mello Music Group win, so we can get more projects like O.C. & Apollo Brown’s Trophies, Has-Lo’s Conversation B, and The Left’s Gas Mask. This kind of has an M83 vibe, and hopefully can reach a new audience for this versatile musician.
