Stat Quo – Michael

A few weeks ago, I was in Wilmington, North Carolina walking down some blocks, thinking, wondering, postulating, if Michael Jordan had ever walked the same steps (in his hometown). I’m sure the answer is undoubtedly yes. One of the greatest athletes, pillars of inspiration, and internationally-recognized celebrities (and his legendary sneakers) inspired a new song from Stat Quo’s first verse. The second verse is inspired by a special Michael straight outta Brownsville, Brooklyn known for his fast fists (and for being next-door neighbors with Suge Knight back in ’95). That’s two Brooklyn natives honored. The third verse… well, we’ll give you a hint: the pride of Gary, Indiana.

Tone Mason gets his own narrative on with this beat. Thoughtful, conceptual music.
