Freeway & The Jacka Coast 2 Coast Collaborate For Write My Wrongs (Mixtape)

Given his debut album’s seamless collaborations with Nate Dogg and Snoop Dogg, Freeway has always been a versatile vocalist. While the Soul-sampling, the aggression, and the subject matters of Freezer’s work has always had a strong Philly backbone, this is an MC who has worked with Paul Wall, Kanye West, Twista and Rick Ross, in addition to once signing with both Minneapolis’ Rhymesayers Entertainment and New Orleans’ Cash Money empire. Recently, he announced linking with mash-up DJ/producer Girltalk for an EP.

All that said, it’s not a huge surprise that Freezer is linking with The Jacka from The Bay for next month’s Highway Robbery album. These two men go back a long way, and while Free had the benefit of mainstream spotlight, his Mob Figaz counterpart remains one of Rap’s well-kept secrets outside of his region.

To heighten anticipation for the LP, the pair releases Write My Wrongs, a 27-track DJ Child mixtape featuring involvement from Statik Selektah, Freddie Gibbs, and even that two-headed monster, T-Wayne.
