House Shoes Honors J Dilla With King James Version Mixtape, Also On Vinyl (Mixtape)

DJ House Shoes was J Dilla’s longtime right-hand-man. Shoes has helped tell Dilla’s story of life and music since that tragic day in 2006. Always outspoken, Shoes (who’s got impressive catalog in his own right with Danny Brown, Roc Marciano, and Quelle Chris) has also who has and who hasn’t honored Dilla’s legacy properly with tributes and unreleased music. That said, the veteran made the King James Version mixtape as a tribute to his homie.

Coming to 2LP vinyl, House Shoes offered the tape for free stream and download. If you believe in it, support it—also true of Shoes’ Let It Go album from last year on Tres. Props to ego trip for spreading the word.
