Busta Rhymes Combines Cash Money With Native Tongues Alongside Q-Tip On Thank You (Audio)

Busta Rhymes’ career is truly dynamic. Christened his name by Public Enemy’s Chuck D; a Leader Of The New School tied to Native Tongues; an animated solo star; constant major label provider to J Dilla; onetime Dr. Dre affiliate; once signed Raekwon; forever tied to EPMD’s DJ Scratch; mentor to Rah Digga, Lord Have Mercy, Rampage, and Roc Marciano; and one of Cash Money’s big acquisitions.

All of those things sort of come to life on “Thank You.” Introduced by Birdman and Lil Wayne, featuring Q-Tip, and getting a small assist from Kanye West, Busta Rhymes holds court on one of the more alluring songs from his recent catalog. Hip-Hop is a gestalt, and this is when all those influences and sub-sects work lovely.
