In our final 2013 wrap up, we tackle the most compelling visual moments in Hip-Hop of 2013. This is not a playlist of the best videos for hot songs (though there are some dope music videos included) nor freestyles (we did that already). Instead, it is a compilation of the best visual moments Hip-Hop had to offer in 2013–music videos, interviews, cartoons and even some commercials…You’ll find Kanye vs. Sway, a joyride with Ice Cube, Kevin Hart and Conan O’Brien, music videos from De La Soul, Jay Z, Kendrick Lamar, J. Cole and much more. There’s even an alternate video for TLC’s Creep that surfaced a decade later. The common themes are that each clip is either visually-arresting, showcasing the subject in a light not seen before, all-out entertaining or, in most cases, all of the above.
