Lil Fame’s Fizzy Womack Persona Continues To Flex Production Skills, This Time For Lucky Tatt (Video)

A lot of the big M.O.P. anthems that come to mind are produced by Brownsville O.G. D/R Period as well as DJ Premier. However, closer inspection will quickly inform that the homies from the Hillside of things were one of Hip-Hop’s more self-sufficient artists. Lil Fame, Billy Danze, and manager/producer Laze E. Laze held things down themselves… and chances are, some of your favorite Mash Out Posse singles and album cuts are home-cooked.

In the years between Loud Records and the days when M.O.P. signed deals with Roc-A-Fella and G-Unit Records, Fame pushed on as a producer. Making joints for AZ, Cormega, and a whole LP with Termanology, Fizzy Womack (as he’s known behind the boards) is as accomplished as they come. What’s more, Fizzy was a chief producer on Wu-Tang Clan’s Chamber Music LP, which was overseen by RZA, with strong hands from Ghostface Killah and Raekwon.

All of this said, it’s to the point where Wo’ can introduce artists properly, just like any other great sound provider. Such is the case for Lucky Tatt and his joint, “Celebrate.” Filmed in HeadCourterz, DJ Premier makes an appearance, as you can see Fizzy gettin’ busy, live, on an impressionistic beat, freakin’ some pitched-down Blue Eyed Motown Soul that Heads know.
