Action Bronson Says That He Pays His Bills From Monthly Sales Of Indie Albums & Talks Wearing Shorts Year-Round (Audio)

When he’s not body-slamming security guards and (playfully) tossing little people offstage, Action Bronson is a helluva rapper. For longtime fans of the Queens, New Yorker who Heads first heard on J-Love mixtapes, 2013’s Saaab Stories was a bit of a misnomer. While Harry Fraud’s Surf School sound is hot, many people liked hearing Bam Bam Bronson’s colorful descriptions of sex, food, and weed strains over more sample-heavy production. Well, in a sit-down with The Champs Broadcast, which is led by Chappelle Show co-creator Neal Brennan and partner Moshe Kasher, Bronsolino says that Dr. Lecter and Bon Appetite pay his bills, and he gives out numbers.

Moreover, Bronson weighs in on his feelings about his major label debut EP, which may surprise you. This is edu-tainment from an artist who’s trying to keep his core, and seemingly winning the challenge.

Given the way Bam Bam is talking, how do you think his next label-backed effort may sound?
