The Red Bull Music Academy may be one of the all-time best examples of arts and entertainment sponsorships. The energy drink’s dedication to music education far surpasses most of what Heads see, but simply treating people like Rakim, Mannie Fresh, and El-P as the artistic luminaries they are on video, in addition to an onslaught of mixes, contests and events makes RBMA a true friend to the Heads.

Now Red Bull Music Academy has released its documentary, What Difference Does It Make? This feature-length film includes interview insights from Rakim, Q-Tip, Erykah Badu, and Egyptian Lover. Additionally, Talking Heads/Roxy Music producer Brian Eno speaks, Lee “Scratch” Perry, Parliament/Funkadelic/Talking Heads’ Bernie Worrell, and plenty of others discuss their craft and sacrifices. The production value on this is very high:
