Alchemist Gets Together With Prodigy, Roc Marciano & Budgie & Looks To The Afterlife (Audio)

From Alchemist’s Southern California lab, he’s built quite an incredible lyrical ensemble. Guys like Roc Marciano, Earl Sweatshirt, Action Bronson, Domo Genesis, Fashawn, and Planet Asia are frequent passers through, in addition to ALC’s longtime core collaborators Prodigy, Dilated Peoples, and Big Twin.

Some of those worlds collided in style, under Frank The Butcher’s vision for his BUA-backed project from Al and Budgie. This song plays with spirituality on a punched-in ’60s Gospel sample, with the MCs talking about their varying visions of an afterlife. This is kind of out of the modern Al wheelhouse, but shows some great experimentation over a cool concept:
