Jay Z, Kanye West & Daft Punk Shelved Track Surfaces From Each’s 2013 Sessions (Audio)

Daft Punk, Kanye West, and Jay Z all released albums in 2013. The French Electronic duo’s Random Access Memories stole the show at last month’s Grammy Awards, while Kanye’s Yeezus snagged the consciousness and conversation of Popular music in June. A month later, Jay Z’s Magna Carta Holy Grail bogarted the fashion and art world, amidst the music industry for its unique release format. While there’s always some overlap between these three acts (as well as affiliates like Pharrell Williams), nobody seemed to know of this loose, “Computerized.”

The song, seemingly inspired a bit by later Kraftwerk, could have potentially been made for any of the three acts’ ’13 albums. Conceptually, the track looks at the synthetic substitutes (word to Melvin Bliss) of society. Human interaction is down, while Social interaction (through glass, touch-screen lenses) is up. West grabs co-production duties, Jay raps, and Daft Punk grooves and vocalizes, as they like to do ’bout this time…
