As if a whole new album’s worth of fresh material was not enough for last week, veteran supreme lyricist Pharoahe Monch made a Record Store Day exclusive with Wake Up Show alum DJ Revolution. Produced by Australia’s M-Phazes, this joint, “Get Down” shows Monch’s ongoing versatility in a career spanning 25 years. Monch and Rev worked together back on Sway & King Tech’s gold-certified This Or That LP over a decade ago, released on Interscope Records, and featuring very early appearances by Eminem, Crooked I, and Tech N9ne.
