This month, Pusha T’s “Numbers On The Boards” has its first birthday. That doesn’t mean that the grimy instrumental created by DJ Don Cannon and Kanye West doesn’t still attract MCs from elsewhere to mold it to them. Such is the case with Rapsody. She barely stops for air as Rap sons all of her skeptics, and dusts her shoulders off, after a banner 2013. This is a great, punctuated track, the kind that if hand-to-hand mixtapes were still the move, you’d expect to hear, and then rewind quite a few times…
