Last week, Detroit, Michigan-based producer Apollo Brown got one of his biggest looks in his lengthy career, care of a Chance The Rapper single, “The Writer.” After working with O.C., Guilty Simpson, and his group, The Left, Apollo is known to release plenty of instrumental projects with his label, Mello Music Group.

For Cigarette Burns, a free three-track EP released today, Apollo tempts aspiring MCs with samples, drums, and cuts that will sting just like the title.
