Freddie Gibbs Premieres His Second Album In Less Than Two Months, The Tonite Show (Album Stream)
As 2014 approaches its midpoint, many Heads are championing Freddie Gibbs & Madlib’s Piñata as one of the year’s best. Gangsta Gibbs linked with the longtime sound of Stones Throw Records and now his own Madlib Invazion imprint to deliver hard-edged reality raps over deeply dusty loops and grooves.
As Piñata still makes its rounds for months (and hopefully years) to come, Freddie teamed with World’s Freshest, another producer, for yet another album. The Tonite Show, releasing on May 13, got an early stream care of EMPIRE Distribution.
