Lupe Fiasco has been well known for his spirited involvement in humanitarian ideologies. For instance, his 2011 project, L.A.S.E.R.S., called for the “end of the glamorization of negativity in media” and for “the invisible walls that separate by wealth, race & class to be torn down.”

In a similar light, Lupe has recently released his inspirational single, “Mission.” The powerful track begins with a montage of personal stories detailing the lives of those who’ve struggled, survived, or knows someone who has fallen to cancer before Lupe takes over the upbeat, Electronic production with his motivational lyrical motif.

In support of the track Lupe has linked with the grassroots campaign, Stand Up To Cancer (SU2C), to raise funds for cancer research. Lupe and SU2C are also planning various collaborations in addition to the track that will be released later this year.
