Lord Finesse Cuts Up The Breaks & Rare Grooves For An Impromptu Hour-Long Mix (Audio)

Lord Finesse is one of Hip-Hop’s great triple threats. The Bronx, New Yorker came into the game as an esteemed MC, battling Percee P in famous footage, and coaching a young Big L on how to be cocky and relatable at the same time. Then, as part of D.I.T.C., “The Funky Man” began showcasing his digging abilities, producing joints for The Notorious B.I.G., Dr. Dre, The Artifacts, and a host of others. Along the way, Finesse was a hard to beat DJ, who could hold his own alongside the likes of Roc Raida.

In a rare spot, Finesse chilled in DJ Boogie Blind’s basement (Pharoahe Monch, Nappy Roots, J-Live), and hopped on the wheels with an hour’s sized stack of wax. For the luck of many Heads, somebody pressed record. Cool out this weekend with the funky technician, always great, no matter the medium.
