Ever Heard of Bob Power? He’s Worked on Some of the Best Hip-Hop & Soul Albums Ever. Here’s His Story (Audio)

For more than 30 years, Bob Power has been one of the unsung heroes of Hip-Hop, R&B and Soul. The producer, engineer and composer has worked with many of the most respected and influential artists during that time period, including A Tribe Called Quest, De La Soul, Jungle Brothers, Stetsasonic, The Roots, D’Angelo, Erykah Badu, Common, Angie Stone, Me’Shell Ndegeocello, J. Dilla…All told, Power has more than 300 credits to his name. He recently spoke with Red Bull Music Academy about his extensive career, during a “Fireside Chat” with Chairman Mao.
