Throughout the ages, Nottz and 9th Wonder have worked on the same albums. Including releases from Little Brother, the Virginia and North Carolina producers, respectively, have a strong overlap in the artists and projects they take on. Both producers with history on the mic too, these heralded musical personalities have doubled up on albums by Skyzoo, Torae, and others.

Now 9th and Nottz’ fortunes are tied, via the Soul Council. “It is an honor to have arguably the best beatmaker walking the planet as a teammate…,” 9th Wonder said today (August 20) to HipHopDX. The Soul Council has included other heralded producers including Khrysis, E. Jones, Fatin “10” Horton, Ka$h Don’t Make Beats, AMP, and Eric G.

Earlier this year it was announced that Nottz was at work on a full length album with fellow Little Brother alum Rapper Big Pooh. The LP is planned to release later this year via Mello Music Group.

Nottz’ credits in Hip-Hop go back as far as 1998, when the VA native worked with Busta Rhymes and Smoothe Da Hustler D.V. Alias Khryst.
