Lil’ Kim Goes At Nicki Minaj Yet Again… Is This The Best Look For Her? (Audio)

Two days removed from her August 4 reigniting of the war of words with Nicki Minaj (“Flawless Remix”), Lil’ Kim comes in for a second charge.  The onetime Junior M.A.F.I.A. breakout platinum superstar released “Identity Thief,” a song that may or may not take a backseat to its artwork in making its point.

Alluding to Nicki’s biting of Kim’s style, persona, and outright identity, the song threatens violence on the YMCMB superstar (who’s been in the headlines heavy from her Sir Mix-A-Lot-sampling “Anaconda,”—and it’s artwork too). Kim’s voice shows its wear, and the once lethal, Hardcore MC doesn’t seem to cut as deep as she’s known for. Moreover, Nicki Minaj (who already vowed to collaborate with newly-released Remy Ma), seems to ignore the advances from an artist she’s admitted to be influenced by.

While Nicki Minaj seemed to violate/prove Kim’s ongoing point earlier in her career…

Is Kim doing herself any favors by beating what feels like a dead horse to the masses?

Remember Canibus going a little too far on Eminem and LL Cool J, or Game’s endless attacks on Jay Z? Is this too much like that? What should Lil’ Kim, now a mother, be doing with her storied music career?
