Lords Of The Underground & Redman Reunite, Alongside Marley Marl (Audio)

Three MASSIVE Hip-Hop entities unite, as The Lords Of The Underground, their mentor producer, Marley Marl, and onetime protege Redman hop on “Hit U Like A Drug.”

Around the time Reggie Noble started running with Erick Sermon in what would ultimately be a Def Squad union, he was also running with DoItAll of L.O.T.U.G. Both MCs, who were nasty on the turntables, joined Naughty By Nature and Poor Righteous Teachers in putting New Jersey Hip-Hop on the map, post-Sugar Hill Gang.

Twenty years removed from their highest-charting album, Keepers Of The Funk, Mr. Funke and Lord Jazz made a recent compilation album of sorts, DJ Marley Marl Presents LOTUG 20: The 20th Anniversary Collection, Vol. 1 (available digitally). Completely different from the ’90s era sound, “Hit U Like A Drug” brings the whole extended family on board for a new chapter:
