Fashawn Finds His Boy Meets World Form Alongside Evidence (Audio)

Now with Nas in the fold, things look especially interesting for Fashawn’s studio sophomore LP, The Ecology (February 24). After two tracks have rolled out in the course of the last year and a half, Mass Appeal Records dropped off an ear-grabber in “Dreams.”

This track, touted to be an Ecology inclusion ,[UPDATE: This song will appear on FASH-ionably Late, an EP with Alchemist] is the second preview cut to feature Evidence, who’s been in Fash’s corner for more than six years. The Fresno, California MC and his Santa Monica homie both look beyond in what it takes to make aspirations turn to realities. Produced by Alchemist, this track has a feel to coincide with its tone and subject matter.  Although Exile is not involved in this particular cut, the song certainly conjures up Boy Meets World vibes.

Was Fashawn smarter to wait six years for his true follow-up, given the resources at his disposal?
