Royce Da 5’9″, DJ Premier & Adrian Younge Takeover the Boiler Room (Video)

Royce Da 5’9″, DJ Premier and Adrian Younge, the collective known as PRhyme, tookover the Boiler Room recently for a night for true music Heads. The event, which was held at New York’s Chung King Studios, began with a DJ set by Younge, where he spun 45s of breaks used by Premier on the PRhyme project and many of his other classic productions. Following, Preemo and Royce rocked the crowd with their first ever live performance of material from their phenomenal debut album (in stores now). After, the three artists were interviewed by a panel of journalists including Miss Info, Rob Markman, Datwon Thomas and myself. Boiler Room captured many of the evening’s highlights and is showing them on a continuous loop which you can catch below. Check it out.

Here’s what Boiler Room had to say about the evening:

“This project captures one of those rare moments when the stars align and everything falls perfectly into place. Royce 5’9″, one of the most technically-advanced MCs in the game paired with DJ Premier who needs no introduction at this point, doing what they do best on a backbone of samples entirely produced by Adrian Younge- the closest thing to a living spring of loops and breaks hip hop may ever get. The result being three masters of their craft combining ingredients for an extraordinary recipe.”
