For a group that did not always have videos at their disposal in the ’90s and early 2000s, Atmosphere’s made up for lost time. The Rhymesayers Entertainment duo—which now includes a full band—released another Top 10 debut in 2015 in Southsiders.

Slug and Ant are still working the LP. “January On Lake Street” features some deft rapping from the MC, with a sound from Ant that does not rely on sampling, but still has those Overcast!-era drums. The video features some captivating images of people, the Twin Cities, and the world waking up that somehow align beautifully with a new year, new plans, and new hope.
