Next Tuesday (March 3), G-Unit will release their second EP in as many years. The Beast Is G-Unit is a six-track short player from the quintet. “Boy Boy” is one of the center pieces from the work, boasting a song produced by Seattle, Washington’s Jake One (De La Soul, Freeway, Brother Ali) and New Jersey’s !llmind (Eminem, Kanye West, Boot Camp Clik).

The grimy, slow-moving composition is just what the Unit needs to go back into their threatening ways from the glory days. 50 Cent and Young Buck’s chemistry remains especially strong, as Tony Yayo follows with a verse using some “too-soon” similes surrounding Malaysian Airlines, and some other stuff.

Does another successful EP mean that the Unit is all the way back?
