Wu-Tang Clan, Cypress Hill & Jurassic 5 Get Back To Their Essence For Record Store Day

Record Store Day is just a month away (April 18), and Get On Down Records has unveiled some awesome deluxe releases set for the occasion. They have put together special deluxe vinyl sets for the Wu-Tang Clan, Cypress Hill, and Jurassic 5 which will only be available for in-person purchases at select venues.

Only 2,000 copies will be made available of the deluxe “Wood Box” edition of Jurassic 5’s debut album, 2000’s Quality Control. The box set includes a special, engraved wooden box, 4 LPs (2 vocal, 2 instrumental), and an in-depth 24-page booklet containing images from photographer B+, liner notes by author Brian Coleman and input from all six group members.

3,000 copies will be made of a 12-inch record pressed on beautiful split yellow and black vinyl, containing the very first Wu-Tang Clan single: 1993’s “Protect Ya Neck“. The vinyl will include a reproduction of the original cover art and a plastic Get On Down-branded outer sleeve. Similar to this Wu-Tang release, Get On Down will also recreate Cypress Hill’s first single with a 7-inch “Double A-Side” containing “The Phuncky Feel One” and “How I Could Just Kill A Man“. The Cypress Hill release will include a recreation of the original single’s artwork from 1991, with a special matte black second outer sleeve, embossed with the group’s legendary skull logo.
