Last year, Yelawolf got a high profile song placement in the final season of Sons of Anarchy, with his song “Till It’s Gone.” With the video for “Whiskey in a Bottle,” Catfish Billy shows some of the many sides of his real-life rebel mode.

The visuals find Yelawolf seemingly going back to his roots–drinking with old friends, adding to his vast tattoo collection and riding his bike. Yela waves the flag of his background proudly and holds no punches in his lyrics. He states his last album was a “flop,” with no reservations, is unapologetic about his Southern pride, and talks about his mother trying to capitalize on his fame by selling his pajamas.

Beneath the bravado, it seems there’s a lot of pain for which that whiskey is a salve, for now. Check out the video.
