Imagine Nas Over Some of Kanye West’s Hardest Beats…Now Take a Listen (Mixtape)
Over the years, while Nas has rocked over some classic beats, one of the few criticisms levied against the iconic MC has been his beat selection. With a catalog that sports classic tracks from DJ Premier, Large Professor, Pete Rock, Q-Tip, No I.D. and more, there have also been records that are less memorable.
On Kanye West’s Late Registration album, Nas guested on Kanye’s “We Major,” and the combination was magical. Perhaps inspired by that track, a few years ago, DJ Lennox put together a seamless blend of Nas vocals over Kanye West beats and the results are stellar. Lennox pulls out some Kanye hits but also goes to the well for some deeper cuts. All are tailored perfectly to Nas’ flow. Check out the stream and download of Nasye Westobar below.
