Along with Kevin Garnett, Allen Iverson is one of the first athletes of the Hip-Hop generation who wore the culture on his sleeve. From the cornrows to the saggy jeans, The Answer was a rebel who compromised for no one. That attitude made Iverson a force on the court, but often led to turmoil off the hardwood.
Showtime has put together a documentary on A.I., still one of the most enigmatic figures in sports. Simply titled Iverson, the film premieres on May 16, and will examine the many sides of the former NBA baller. Interviewees include Dwayne Wade, Tom Brokaw, Iverson, himself, and others.
