DJ Premier Returned From Russia With A Joint That’s Universally Dope (Audio)

Last month, DJ Premier made a cool video of him navigating the streets of Moscow, Russia. While there, he crossed paths with St. Petersburg, Russia’s BMB Spacekid. Holed up in the studio, Preemo, BMB, and Los Angeles, California funkateer Anderson Paak made “Til’ It’s Done.”

Pure collaboration, it’s not even abundantly clear who does what here—much like an ensemble band. What is clear is even though this combines L.A., St. Pete, and New York City (by way of Texas), the song is soulfully universal. With scratching, singing, and rapping, the resulting work knows no specific genre, region (not even a dialect), or era. Instead, it’s just some feel-good, motivational music Heads can all get behind.

Thanks to Boiler Room, the Ballantine’s “Stay True” series product is not only a worthy listen, it’s a free download for your digital crates.
