Ghostface Killah, Adrian Younge, Raekwon & RZA Offer Twelve More Reasons To Die (Audio)

Ghostface Killah seemingly does not stop. Now in his mid-forties, the Staten Island, New York “wally champ” is looking at his fourth album in less than nine months. To kick off the new week, the Wu-Tang Clan member announced a sequel to 2013’s Twelve Reasons To Die.

Planned for July, 2015, Twelve Reasons To Die II is a shared billing between G.F.K. and producer/musician Adrian Younge. Since the first Soul Temple Records release (RZA’s label), Younge’s music has powered PRhyme with DJ Premier and Royce Da 5’9″, and There Is Only Now with Souls Of Mischief.

Before the July release (which joins 36 Seasons , Wu-Tang Clan’s A Better Tomorrow and BADBADNOTGOOD collaboration Sour Soul, from Ghost’s 2014-2015 releases), Ghost and Younge are touted to release another project called Return Of The Savage. As seeming promotion for both, the title track to the latter emerges. Notably, Raekwon (who did not appear on the 2013 album) is a guest on the song that re-ups the Purple Tape forces, finds that dark Soul pocket, and captures the vibe. As the record winds out, RZA enters to speak an interlude, which appears to maybe give this Spaghetti Western in audio the storyline. Are you enticed?

As Tony Starks had teased fans with prospects of a Supreme Clientele sequel for some time, are your surprised that this is the actual first follow-up in the Ghostface Killah chamber?

Oh, and this work (and song) will be inevitably a focal point on Rae’ & Ghost’s summer Only Buily 4 Cuban Linx… 20th Anniversary Tour.
