Melanie Fiona Shoots Down An Open Relationship With Bite The Bullet (Audio)

Fresh off of a Caribbean-flared contribution to Raekwon’s F.I.L.A album, Melanie Fiona (who proudly celebrates her Guyanese heritage) stays tropical for her own LP. The former SRC Records’ songstress third LP, Free Love, is presumed to include this new Reggae-tinged single, “Bite The Bullet.” The song about awakening is written from the perspective of a lover whose partner divides his (or her) time between two.

The extended metaphor calls it quits (after several backfires), and promises to learn from the experience for next time. With guitar and natural drums, this is a perfect summertime song for those exiting the confines of toxic relationships.
