Raekwon & Ghostface Killah Take The Purple Tape Anniversary Celebration On The Road

On August 1, Raekwon’s solo debut, Only Built 4 Cuban Linx… turns 20 years old. The gold-certified RCA/Loud Records release is acclaimed for its intricate lyricism, groundbreaking lexicon, and gritty RZA production. With its “co-starring” credit going to Ghostface Killah (who followed one year later with his own acclaimed solo debut Ironman), Rae’ and Ghost’ have worked together closely ever since.

Fresh off of Raekwon’s F.I.L.A. (Fly International Luxurious Art), the Staten Island MC announced tour dates, dedicated to O.B.4.C.L. (a/k/a “The Purple Tape”) and its 20th anniversary. With more than 30 US dates confirmed, The Chef is bringing G.F.K. (who also has two new studio albums in the last six months) on the road with him. The dates kick off July 7, in a concert series sponsored by Sirius XM.
