Blu Addresses Passing On A Death Row Deal On The Thriller (Audio)

It has been a quiet three months for Blu. The MC/producer known for a relentless appetite for releasing music may be quiet for good reason. Today (June 29), the Los Angeles, California native announced a Nature Sounds maxi-single, The Return. With some remixes and DJ-goodies, Johnson Barnes delivers “Thriller.”

Featuring Brooklyn, New York’s Sene, along with Cashus King (f/k/a Co$$) and Definite, “Thriller” has that Good To Be Home feel, with its rich sample-concoction, Soul accents.

In the middle of some powerful assists from the cohorts, Blu boasts in his verse. Specifically, the independent mainstay goes back to the early 2000s, and slickly says “Told Suge, I ain’t signin’ shit, unless I get rich quick.”

More than 10 years later, is it still hard to imagine Blu wearing an electric chair chain, running around with Crooked I and Spider Loc?
