Platinum MC Da Brat is the latest Hip-Hop personality to head to radio. The longtime So So Def Records star is slated to join the Rickey Smiley Show. The veteran rapper will take “Real Housewives Of Atlanta” star Claudia Jordan’s spot at the Atlanta, Georgia WHTA broadcast studios.

The Rickey Smiley Show is syndicated in more than 25 markets across the United States.

Other notable Hip-Hop artists to move include radio include Monie Love, 3rd Bass’ MC Serch, DJ Jazzy Joyce, and Chubb Rock.

Although Da Brat continues to record music, the 41 year-old ATL-based, Joliet, Illinois native has not released an album since 2003’s Limelight, Luv & Nightclubz. Think the MC/actor is a good fit for the comedian’s mainstay radio program?
