Sheek Louch Wants To Celebrate Your Hood In His Next Video (World Premiere)

Last week, Sheek Louch released his first single from Silverback Gorilla 2 (September 18).  Through Tommy Boy Entertainment, the track which features Billy Danze (M.O.P.), Trae Tha Truth (ABN), and Joell Ortiz (Slaughterhouse), is titled “Hood Ni**a,” and celebrates the real concrete that each MC comes from, in an anthem for everyone to show hometown pride.

As a reminder, Sheek, Tommy Boy, and Ambrosia For Hoods are currently hosting a contest that welcomes YOU to be part of the official fan video. Here’s more on how you can’ rep your hood:

1. Shoot a video of you and your crew in your hood.
2. Submit the video on Instagram and let us know what hood you represent using the hashtags: #HoodHitta #RecognizeReal
3. You must tag: @RealSheekLouch, @TommyBoyEntertainment, @Ambrosia4Heads
4. Last day for submissions is 7/31/15.
5. Winners will then be selected and video clips will be used for the official fan video for, “Hood Ni**as,” featuring Billy Danze, Trae Tha Truth, and Joell Ortiz.

The “hood” and community continue to be a focal point of Donnie G’s music. Today (July 10), Louch premieres his “Hood Gone’ Love It” freestyle. Taking one of Jay Rock (and Kendrick Lamar’s) hallmark songs, Sheek acts it as he rhymes it, for the video. Camo shorts, bucket hats, and Air Max sneaks, show The LOX veteran in his element, shooting dice and relaxing on a sunny New York Summer afternoon. In the lyrics to the freestyle, Sheek touches upon his hardworking mother, the desire to stay sharp at his craft, and never backing down from any kind of confrontation. Within, the D-Block co-founder also pushes some powerful bars about protests, riots, and street justice, as he sees it.

With Silverback Gorilla being a fan-favorite from the past, is Sheek giving Heads exactly what they’ve been asking for?
