Chris Rivers & Sheek Louch Have Got It Made With Their Throwback Freestyles (Audio)

For the last several weeks, Chris Rivers and Sheek Louch have released rugged verses over throwback beats. Rivers has covered everyone from Black Moon to his father, Big Pun, and even tackled a LOX standout. Sheek has gone a bit more contemporary, with verses over Jay Rock, The Clipse and Mack Wilds tracks.

This week, the two NYC spitters combine forces on Rivers’ nod to Special Ed’s classic, “I Got It Made.” Rivers flips Ed’s opening, “I’m not a Puerto Rican but I’ll tell you so that you know,” embracing his own heritage. He matches Ed’s cadence, at times, but still also injects his own flavor. Sheek comes along, in full Silverback Gorilla mode, reminiscing on the better days of yore, and closes the song.
