DJ Premier & DJ Eclipse Honor Sean Price With A 3 Hour Tribute (Mix)

It has been almost one week since Sean Price left a permanent hole in the Hip-Hop culture he loved. Those who knew Sean and his music can agree that nothing has been the same. However, the out-pour of love, remembrance, and attention to Boot Camp Clik enforcer’s compound bars, dry wit, and fearless self-deprecation and honesty has been staggering. As the upcoming release Songs In The Key Of Price (August 21) approaches, some of the DJs who supported Sean’s music the most during his career have stepped forth with a mix of great substance.

DJ Eclipse’s Rap Is Outta Control show on Sirius is one of the purest, most dependable places to enjoy true-school Hip-Hop, regardless of label, cosign, or age. The Non-Phixion co-founder is joined by Torae and DJ Premier. Preemo, like E, is a friend/peer of Sean’s for his career. These conduits of great Hip-Hop let their hands, and their crates remember a lyrical legend among peers and dedicated Hip-Hop Heads. This is three hours long, and deeply definitive. King Of Chill is in the show too, as some call-in’s help narrate Sean’s impact and life. In particular, Brand Nubian’s Sadat X calls from outside Sean’s home with a powerful recollection. If you want to understand what Sean Price great as an MC and as a man, this show is comprehensive.

Heads can hear rarities galore, guest shots, Heltah Skeltah, Random Axe, and those solo Sean P! records that kept so many necks sore for the last 20-plus years.

Songs In The Key of Price bundle packages are now available at Duck Down. Sean Price’s memorial show is August 27 at SOBs. Tickets are available. All proceeds will be donated to Sean’s family. Donations can also be made to Sean’s three children and wife.
