Sean Price Shows Off His Superhero Capabilities in “Figure More,” His Last Music Video

In the first video released since his death on August 8, and what is said to be the last one he filmed, Sean Price is given the comic-book treatment, giving his reputation as a lyrical superhero a matching visual. In “Figure More” (a sequel to the cult-championed “Figure Four”) Sean P the rapper is joined by Sean P the father, as the late Bronxville MC’s daughter joins her dad on screen. Also featured is Illa Ghee, a longtime collaborator and friend who contributes a verse to the track. The setting for the video – a playground and basketball court – is the kind of simple, no-frills approach that was distinctly Sean Price, who never sacrificed his own laid-back authenticity for the ostentatious or high-profile.

With his “Superbeard” tee, Yankees fitted, and his directives to “shoot that nigga in the face twice, and take all the cocaine,” Sean Price’s humor (and more serious bars) along with his unpretentious style are reminders of just how much Hip-Hop lost with his tragic passing. Over the loop made famous by both Ski Beatz and Madlib, Sean tears it apart for a second time.
