Curren$y’s Album Singles Stand Tall. “Boulders” Is Rocky Mountain High (Audio)

Curren$y releases a ton of music. However, after more than 15 years in the game, the New Orleans, Louisiana MC is gifted at making those big records count.

After a ton of mixtapes, group work, and lots of touring, Spitta and Warner Bros. Records are back together, marching towards Canal Street Confidential (December 4). The true follow-up to 2012’s The Stoned Immaculate (which garnered praise) opens up with 808 Mafia-produced single “Boulders.”

Curren$y shines on the trunk-rattling beat, where he pushes Boost Mobile trap-phone talk, and a more energetic delivery—relatively speaking. With a lot of attitude, Spitta gets his boss on, moving those metaphoric rocks out of the way.
