PRhyme’s DJ Premier, Royce Da 5’9″ & Adrian Younge Are Making a Rare Performance Together.

This year, PRhyme embarked on a strong, multi-national tour. DJ Premier and Royce Da 5’9″ brought Your Old Droog and Boldy James with them, and rocked stages far and wide. Somebody who was not at the dates was Adrian Younge, one of PRhyme’s members—the man who created the beats that Preemo sampled to make the year-end-list-raiding LP.

Younge had good reason. The Los Angeles, California-based producer (plus label, studio, and record store owner) was following up his 2013 LP with Ghostface Killah, dropping Twelve Reasons To Die II. Additionally, Adrian released Something About April, his latest solo effort.

This month (October 13), the show is changing. Adrian will join his band-mates for a special concert at New York City’s Gramercy Theatre.

PRhyme is said to be hard at work on additional tracks, including a collaboration with MF DOOM (a/k/a DOOM), which will appear on a deluxe edition of the PRhyme Records release.

In the past, artists/producers like Ant (Atmosphere) and Stoupe (Jedi Mind Tricks) have abstained from shows (something that’s changed with Ant). Does this add to a group’s mystique, or make the full show all the more special?
