The LOX & Faith Evans Are Still “Family” Over An S.O.S. Band Homage (Audio)

The LOX and producer Duane DaRock appear to have a formula. The New York City veteran Rap trio and the budding beat-maker travel back to the early ’80s flavor for some proven musical framework. In March, the quartet channeled Gap Band in “That Money.” In Fall, it’s S.O.S. Band’s “Just Be Good To Be” that threads the needle for the latest. This time, the love is kept in “The Family” as fellow former Bad Boy Records artist Faith Evans joins The Notorious B.I.G.’s early ’97 proteges Styles P, Sheek Louch, and Jadakiss.

From Da Resume Vol. 2, this latest generation bridge, and works nicely with that blend-tape feel that calls back to the so-called “shiny suit era” in 2015.

Should Duane be getting the call on the upcoming presumed third L-O-X full length studio album?
