Aesop Rock & Homeboy Sandman’s New EP is a Head Scratcher…In a Good Way (EP Stream)

Two of Hip-Hop’s most celebrated indie artists quietly released a collaborative E.P. earlier this week, and it’s another remarkable release Heads have come to expect from Stones Throw. Called Lice, the project is the result of a partnership between celebrated MCs Aesop Rock, whose impressive discography stretches back to 1996; and Homeboy Sandman, whose 2014 solo album Hallways is one of the most acclaimed of his career. Between the two of them, more than two decades’ worth of alternative Hip-Hop contributes serious game to the two New York natives’ interplay, which is cast alongside production from Alex “Apex” Gale (“So Strange Here”), Blockhead (“Environmental Studies”), Charles Hamilton (“Get a Dog”), Optiks (“Katz”), and DJ Spinna (“Vertigo”).

The E.P. is free, but the two MCs urge fans to donate to a New York food bank for the hungry like City Harvest or an educational non-profit providing opportunities for people of color like Prep for Prep. Check out the project in its entirety below.
