DJ Chuck Chillout Has “The Breaks” To Revisit 1990 In Style (Mix)

DJ Chuck Chillout has nearly 35 years of making soundwaves special and parties pop. The Bronx, New York DJ/producer brought his sonic style to New York City signals such as KISS and WBLS in the 1980s and 1990s, as well as the biggest clubs. Also a mentor to Buckshot and Black Moon, Chuck bridged radio and TV with an eventual role as a VJ for Video Music Box.

Now, Chuck Chillout has been commissioned to celebrate VH1’s upcoming film, The Breaks. The January 4 film written and consulted by Dan Charnas (The Big Payback) inspired Chuck to pull out the cuts and play joints “as I would play the music in the club” during the same 1990 year the film is set.
