Ghostface & MF DOOM Aren’t Masking Their 2016 Release Plans… (Video)

This past February, Ghostface Killah and MF DOOM added to their storied collaborative discography with “Ray Gun.” The video single from Sour Soul further whetted the appetites surrounding a DOOMstarks album. According to the Wu-Tang Clan MC (who released two 2015 LPs), the album is just months away.

Speaking with LetsLinkRadio, the Wu-Tang Clan MC said that the highly-anticipated Supreme Clientele 2 and the LP believed to be called DOOMstarks are coming early in the new year.

“[I am presently] finishing up my Supreme Clientele [sequel],” Ghostface Killah said. “That’s gonna be a monster. To all real Rap Heads, that’s gonna be a monster. I’m proud of that project. I just hope every sample gets cleared. And then they’ll see what I’m talking about. I just got a bunch of things going on. This Wu-Goo project. We got music on this Wu-Goo project right here. We gonna be releasing [something] every month…I talked to [MF] DOOM’s people. DOOM is ready now…So, he said he wants to drop that in February. He said he wants to drop that in February.”

It is unclear if the album will still keep its long-touted DOOMstarks title. DOOM’s latest studio album was another collaboration, 2014’s Nehruvian DOOM, with New York MC Bishop Nehru.

Given the mention of samples, do you expect Supreme Clientele 2 to sound much like its original?
