Pusha T Exorcises His Demons On “M.F.T.R. (More Famous Than Rich)” (Video)

Pusha T’s “M.F.T.R. (More Famous Than Rich)” is a brilliant single from the just-released King Push: Darkest Before Dawn: The Prelude. Featuring The-Dream, the song is very much about style, but as much substance. With 2015’s headlines largely about celebrity financial woes (including Pusha T’s rival Lil Wayne), the record is a sinister commentary about the problems that the Clipse co-founder does not face, despite a seeming lower profile in terms of fame.

With Push’s G.O.O.D. Music executive position, and his second hard-hitting album in three years, that may be changing too. To drive the point home, Pusha T and The-Dream release the visual, which features a horrified church, lots of religious iconography, and tilted camera shots of the MC pushing the Rolls Royce through his city. This video is big on metaphor, a lot like the Re-Up Gang O.G.’s lyrics of late.

So…what does it all mean?
