Kxng Crooked Is A MONSTER. This Acapella Freestyle Is Downright Scary (Video)

Kxng Crooked has been lyrical royalty, long before he dubbed himself a King. The MC, formerly known as Crooked I, has been abusing microphones for more than 20 years, both as a solo artist and as a member of the fearsome foursome known as Slaughterhouse. In fact, it was his reputation as one of California’s finest spitters that garnered the attention from Eminem when he signed Crooked to Shady Records as part of the lyrical super group.

Crooked had a relatively quiet 2015, releasing loosies here and there, but he is gearing up for a return in a big way in 2016. On February 12, he and Statik Selektah will release a joint album titled Statik Kxng. As the Long Beach MC begins his promo run, he stopped by Tony Touch’s Toca Tuesdays show and peeled off an a cappella freestyle that is dizzying. As the verse goes on, it grows in intensity and even Termanology, a fierce lyricist himself, can be seen in the background appreciating the awesome display he is witnessing. Just as Eminem did when he ripped an acapella verse for Sway last year, Crooked attacks the mic like he absolutely hates it.
